John Robert Churchill, 85 of Greenville died on Monday, August 26, 2013. He was born on January 9, 1928 in Erie, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his loving wife: Beatrice C. Churchill; a daughter: Patricia Sheckells and her husband John of Suwanee, GA; two sons: Robert W. Churchill and his wife Betty of Lakewood, Ohio and John Lee Churchill and his wife Georgia and their daughter, Natalie. Grandsons: Zachary Churchill, Ryan Churchill of Lakewood, Ohio and Shawn Bruce of Suwanee, GA.; great-grandchildren: Madison and Jameson Churchill. John served in the United States Army and was very proud of his service to our country. John was a disabled Veteran. The family will receive friends at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 6 - 8 pm and again on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Disciples United Methodist Church, 185 Riley Smith Rd, Greenville, SC 29615 followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Following the service there will be a brief reception at the church to greet guests then we will process to Woodlawn Memorial Park for the interment. www.woodlawn-fh.com
