John is survived by his wife: Johnnie McMahan Moffitt; a son: Alan Moffitt (Wendi); a daughter: Karen Boyd (Raymond); two grandchildren: Bradley Alan Moffitt and Nathan Lee Boyd and two sisters Patricia Clevenger, Judy Gross, many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was predeceased by a brother Talmage Moffitt and a sister Jane Tunnell.
A Memorial service will be Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 7:00 pm with visitation prior to the service from 6 – 7 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Greenville.
