Johnny was born December 6, 1945 and raised in Florence, South Carolina to Elise Mixon McBride and Bill McBride.
Johnny started his firefighting career with the City of Florence Fire Department in Florence SC. He served most of his firefighting career with Parker District Fire Department in Greenville SC.
After his firefighting career, Johnny continued to keep in touch with everyone. If you knew Johnny, you know he loved to talk and he would give you the shirt off of his back. Johnny was a very good hearted man.
Johnny loved fishing and while in good health , he had an awesome garden every year.
Johnny will be dearly missed by all.
Johnny is survived by brother Tommy McBride (Connie) Simpsonville SC, brother Donnie McBride (Edna) Gainesville GA and sister Juanice Floyd (Jimmy) Florence SC.
Johnny was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Holder McBride; daughter Tonya Lynn McBride; father Bill McBride and mother Elise Mixon McBride; brother Billy Joe McBride (Ellen) Greensboro NC.
Johnny also leaves many nieces and nephews he loved dearly to cherish his memories.
A graveside service with fireman's honors conducted by the Parker District Fire Department will occur Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673.
