Joseph Clyde Strange

Simpsonville, SC on September 27th, 2026.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather whose greatest joy in life was his family. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Kay, who he was married to for 63 years. He leaves behind his daughter Charlotte Chandler (Jim), his son Doug Strange (Holli) and seven grandchildren: Caroline Chandler, Will Chandler, Joseph Strange, Logan Strange, Jackson Strange, Jake Strange and Lauren Strange. Also, brother Jerry Strange (Sue) and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law which he deeply loved.

Joe was a graduate of Rollins College where he played both baseball and basketball. He was active in coaching youth sports, including American Legion Baseball, where he took pride in being an advocate for young athletes while helping them achieve. He was also an avid outdoorsman with a love for hunting, fishing and camping.

Later in life he spent most of his time supporting his grandchildren in their sporting events and many activities. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A private family graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
