Joyce Ann Gowens

Joyce Ann Gowens was born January 20,1953 to the late Luree Blassingame, Joyce Ann departed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on July 26, 2025, at her residence. Joyce was educated in the public schools of Greenville County and attended Sterling High School. She was a member of Mt. Grove Baptist Church in Travelers Rest, SC.

Joyce was employed with St. Francis Hospital Cafeteria and Morrison Cafeteria that was located inside of Liberty Life Insurance Company.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories one son: Anthony (Renee’) Gowens; one daughter, Kimberly (Darrell) Mckinney, both of Greenville, SC; one brother, Frederick Blassingame of Simpsonville , SC. She was the loving grandmother to Rashod (Kita) Humbert, Chasity Gowens, Daniqua (Jamarcus) Jenkins, Joboishe Wilson, Quez McKinney, Makayla Finch, Jaelynn and Kehlani Jenkins; two nieces, Jaretta Love and Jasmine Blassingame; Special cousins, Wanda Gossett, Jacqueline Dendy, Sonya Smith, Kahmaal (Rock) Smith, and Mykel Smith, Special caregivers; Alice Green and Daryl Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Joyce will be held Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM followed by the funeral at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673.
