Kenneth H Smith

Kenneth Hutch Smith, loving husband, father, and grandfather went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May 24, after a battle with cancer. He was born on March 5, 1931. He was a son of the late Jesse Morgan Smith and Daisy Pauline Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Guynelle Breazeale Smith, a daughter, Brenda Smith Marlowe and a son, Kenneth Don Smith, one sister, Jesse Smith Carson. He had three deceased sisters and a brother. Kenneth was a veteran of the Korean War in the US Army, receiving the Purple Heart as well as other metals. Kenneth was a member of Berea First Baptist Church and retired from Harper Brothers after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his grandchildren: Christopher Thomas Daniel, Jennifer Ashley Howe and two great-grandchildren: Kaidyn Haylee and Riley Hutch and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral will be Friday, May 27, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with visitation prior to the service from 12:00 - 2:00 pm in the funeral home.
