Born to Jean Ann Wise and Lance Beehler, Lance grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana. He met his wife, Susan, in second grade and claimed to have fallen in love with her when she presented her mushroom collection at show and tell. Lance and Susan moved to South Carolina after graduating from college.
Lance was the best grill master in town. You could expect something delicious from the smoker at every family event or tailgate. He spent as many weekends as Susan would let him at “the farm” hunting, enjoying nature, and hanging out with his hunting buddies. Lance was always up for getting a craft beer at a local brewery or grocery store and had a way with animals, children, and little old ladies. But the thing he loved the most was spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and customers.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Beehler; his son, Jack (Sydney) Beehler; his daughter, Katherine Beehler; his granddaughter, Evelyn Beehler; his father and stepmother, Lance and Carol Beehler; his stepfather, Burdette Norris; and his sister, Katherine (Trey) Fogg. He is also survived by several special nieces and nephews.
Lance was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Norris.
A Celebration of Life for Lance will be held in the Covenant Church Sanctuary on Friday June 5, 2026 at 11:00 am (1310 Old Spartanburg Rd, Greer, SC 29650). Reception to follow in the welcome center.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Church’s God’s Hands and Feet Ministry in honor of Lance Beehler.
