

Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Lynda Campbell Bowman; two beloved children, Sally Campbell Boozer (Matthew) of Pawleys Island, SC and Clay O. Campbell of Anderson, SC. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Caroline Boozer (fiance’ Joe Bernsen) of Alexandria, VA, Harley Grace Campbell of Anderson, SC, C.J. Campbell and great-granddaughter, Emma Campbell of Fair Play, SC. Also surviving are two nephews, Stuart Bowman of Clemson, SC and Kris Bowman (Beth) of Central, SC; one niece, Leesa Martin (David) of Pendleton, SC, three great nieces and two great nephews.
Larry was predeceased by his parents, Kathleen Cooper Bowman and Howard R. Bowman and his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald K. Bowman (Martha) and John M. Bowman (Jane).
Born in Anderson, SC, Larry moved to Clemson in elementary school, where he attended Calhoun-Clemson School and Clemson University. A mechanical design engineer, Larry’s early career was in textile machinery research and development at Saco-Lowell Research Center in Clemson. Larry worked as a designer and supervisor at General Electric Gas Turbine, JE Sirrine, Flour Corporation and Day & Zimmerman Engineering in Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC.
Larry enthusiastically embraced his retirement. An avid golfer, hiker and amateur photographer, he and Lynda traveled widely. The wonderful memories of their adventures, many shared with family members, in the US, Canada and Europe, are vividly captured in the hundreds of photographs that Larry took over several decades.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at Easley Presbyterian Church, 200 S. 1st Street, Easley, SC on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 11 AM.
