Larry Arthur McCarson, 79, passed away July 11, 2015. He was the son of the late Arthur and Gracie Poole McCarson. He served in the US Army after attending Parker High School. Larry was a long time member of Morgan Memorial Baptist Church and currently New Hope Baptist Church. Larry retired after 30 years of service with the US Post Office. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Ruth Petty McCarson; one son: Brian McCarson (Melissa); one daughter: Julie Sloan (Mike); three grandchildren: Jared McCarson, Heather Jones and Kasey Jones; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother: Charles McCarson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with private burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the funeral home. www.woodlawn-fh.com
