Larry Shride

Born in Decatur, IL, Larry was the son of the late Leo Curtis Shride and Cherry Blossom Brackett Shride. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, JoAnn Foster Shride; daughter, Suzane Shride Morris and brother, Stephen Earl Shride. Larry served four years in the US Air Force.

He is survived by; son, Brian Shride; three daughters: Kelli Shride, Annette Penland (David) and Julie Merriman (Danny); five grandchildren: Andy Merriman (Kati), Ross Penland (Holly), Cody Penland (Katie), Lindsey Bean (Patrick) and Sydney Penland; eight great grandchildren: Jack Merriman, Kelsey Merriman, Sam Penland, Lyla Penland, Macy Penland, Wyatt Penland, Norah Penland and Emily Jo Bean; a brother, Carl Michael Shride.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Mackey Funerals and Cremation at Century, follow by burial at Graceland East Memorial Park. A memorial message may be sent to the family by visiting www.mackeymortuary.com.
