Lee Dobbs went to be with his Lord on March 5, 2022. He was a lieutenant in the Navy. He worked for 24 years at South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation. After he retired, he spent several years working for the Recreation District of Greenville County as an engineer for the train named “George”.
Lee loved spending time with his family. He was faithful to his church and sang in the choir of the First Presbyterian Church of Greer. Lee loved model trains and was a member of the Blue Ridge Railroad Club and the National Railway Historical Society.
Lee was the son of the late Dr. Lee F. Dobbs, Jr. and Harriet Ellison Dobbs of Greenville, West Virginia. Lee is survived by his wife, Linda and their daughter, Susan Dobbs and their son, Lee F. Dobbs IV (“Chip”). He is also survived by his grandson, Cooper Wilson. He is also survived by his sister, Petrie (Dobbs) Brown, his brother, Addison Dobbs, and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and two great-grand nieces.
Visitation will be held at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park from 5 to 7 on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Funeral services will be held at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive Greenville, SC 29609 on Wednesday, March 16 at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the choir of The First Presbyterian Church of Greer.
