Lee Anderson Hughes, 88, husband of Mary Alice (Ensley) Hughes, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2019. A longtime resident of Travelers Rest, he was the son of the late George Edward and Minnie Anderson Hughes. He was a US Army, Korean War veteran and a member of Clearview Baptist Church. Lee enjoyed all types of gardening and used his talent to create beautiful art for his gardens. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children: Cindy Hughes Watson (Rick) and Steven Lee Hughes; one granddaughter, Casey Watson. Along with his parents he is predeceased by his two brothers: Edward Hughes and Robert Hughes. A celebration of life will be held at Mackey at Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel Friday, September 6, 2019, at 12:00 P.M. Family will receive friends from 10:45 12:00 pm; burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
