She is survived by her children Sherri and John Adams, Regina and David Marshall, Alan and Ruth Ballard, 11 grandchildren and their spouses, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Leta was born and raised in Marshall, N.C. Other places she called home were Gastonia, N.C., Woodstock, Marietta, GA, and Salinas, CA.
Leta worked at various companies as an office manager and spent a lot of here free time serving the churches she attended; promoting blood drives; and serving a homeless ministry in the Atlanta area.
Leta made many friends wherever she lived and tirelessly served those around her.
A visitation for Leta Ballard will be held Monday, January 6, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. Following the visitation the funeral service will be at 1:00 PM in the Chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, 1462 Armstrong Ford Rd. Belmont, NC 28012.
