Lewis is survived by his son Winston Gamble, Jr; his grandson Josh Gamble (Kelly), his granddaughters Amy Gamble (Matt), Katrina Brooks (David) and Jennifer Mullens (Scott).
Lewis was preceded in death by his wife Helen Gamble and his sons Phil Gamble and Keith Gamble.
Lewis loved being active including bowling and playing racquetball which he did into his 70's. One hobby that Lewis always looked forward to was sitting at the mall and as he put it; "people watching." On Saturday's in the fall you might catch Lewis watching his Alma Mater playing football, Roll Tide!
A visitation for Lewis will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.
