Lilian Marie Propst

Born in Charlotte, NC Lili came into this world nicknamed “Sparkplug”. She was energetic, quick witted, and thoughtful; she was a loyal daughter, sister, and friend. She loved all things music, had the best natural rhythm in the family, and wanted it to be known that—if she were to be a rapper—her stage name would be “lil Lil”.

Lili planned to attend Appalachian State University in the Fall of 2021, with an interest in psychology and human health. She had an unparalleled compassion and empathy for those around her. She was observant, perceptive, and wildly intelligent. To love Lili was an honor, and to be loved by her was a blessing. She did not listen to others in order to be listened to, she listened in order to validate, support, and uniquely love each person. She did not ask much of people, but that we all be true to ourselves and that we all show kindness to each other.

Lili leaves her parents, Tammy Propst (Greenville, SC); Ed Propst and his wife Kim (Newland, NC); sister, Nola Propst (Boston, MA); her grandparents Ray and Jackie (Opa and Oma) Cope (Greenville, SC); Pat (Gamma) Propst (Asheville, NC), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. Describing herself, in the fifth grade Lilian writes: “I am from a family of 4 rabbits, 4 dogs, 1 cat, a few turtles here and there, and I would catch anything that I was faster than.”

A celebration of life service is planned for Saturday, July 10th at 10 AM at Nancy’s Rock Quarry Park located on Trevi Drive. Enter Montebello Drive from North Pleasantburg Drive, and it is on the left. Afterwards, everyone is welcome for hugs and laughter with the family at 704 Villaggio Drive, Greenville SC from 12-3 PM. Honor Lilian by dressing casual yet fashionable, loving each other, and living your best life.
