Lillian "Da'lin" Ann Sullivan

March 23, 1942May 15, 2020

Lillian Ann Sullivan, 78, of Greenville departed this life on May 15, 2020 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Adger and Nezzie Jones McKinney.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Sullivan, Jr; one sister and four brothers.

Lillian was a long time member at Union Baptist Church where she dutifully served as a deaconess for over forty years. Mrs. Sullivan was a woman who absolutely loved her family. She used to say “God gave us our family before he gave us the church.” This strong belief in family togetherness lead her to be the founder of the annual Family & Friends Day which continues to be celebrated to present day. She also served on the usher board and sang in the senior choir. Her fellowship and service to her church family will truly be missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Ernestine Sullivan, of the home; one son, Darryl Sullivan of Greenville; three sisters, Helen Brock of Greenville, Alma Hawkins of New York, and Evelyn Heard of Texas; two grandchildren, Anna Roberson and Durell Roberson both of Greenville; four great grandchildren: DeAaron Roberson, DeCaden Roberson, Sanylah Roberson, and Aris Roberson; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

To the Family of Lillian Sullivan.
Lillian was truly one of a kind. She was my salon buddy. I would always get there right before, or, well before her. She will definitely be remembered. Family, I have not seen Lillian for a while, but I loved her dearly. May God bless you and keep you.......Taleah
