Lisa Catherine Watkins

Lisa Catherine Watkins, born in Greenville, SC on July 13, 1971 went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 7, 2021, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Frances Watkins, Sr.

Lisa graduated from USC Spartanburg with a Bachelor’s Degree in Math; University of Tennessee with a Master’s Degree in Math; Clemson University with a Master’s Degree in Accounting.

She was currently employed as the Director of Communications at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenville. Although a private person, if you knew Lisa, you knew she was dedicated to her work for St. Mary’s, had a love of day trips to the mountains, seeing the change of the leaves, beautiful snowfalls, and taking scenic photos of barns, waterfalls, and nature. She also enjoyed watching the Tennessee Volunteers play football and basketball, and had a lifelong love for Snoopy and The Peanuts.

Lisa is survived by her siblings, Frank (Stella), Susan Stokes (Whitley), and Stephen (Emily), with nieces Tabitha (John) Carey of Jacksonville, FL, Taylor Stokes, Riley and Reagan Watkins all of Greenville, and a great niece and nephew Morlee and Hudson Carey of Jacksonville, FL .

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January, 12 at 12:00 noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenville. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery following Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Greenville, St. Mary’s Building Fund, or to the charity of one’s choice.
