Born to the late James David Rhodes, Sr. and the late Ruby Hanna Rhodes of Lake City, South Carolina. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family and to missions in helping others in her church, neighborhood, and the Greenville community. She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church for sixty years. In her latter years of life, she worked with M&M Tax Service for many years.
Louise is survived by her daughters: Carolyn Charpia of Greenville and Gloria Boiter (Larry) of Taylors; her son, David Charpia (Tracye) of Greer; four grandsons: Todd Boiter of Murrells Inlet, Ryan Boiter (Maranda) of Piedmont, Barrett Charpia (Catherine) of Charleston, and Matthew Charpia of Greenville; three great grandchildren: Logan Boiter, Riley Grace Boiter, and Zen Robinson; her sister, Mona Boyd of Kingstree; brother, Howard Rhodes and sister-in-law Buena Rhodes of Columbia; her brother-in-law, Harold Charpia and sister-in-law Joan Charpia of Charleston; sister-in-law, Evelyn Eidson of Columbia; and brother-in-law, Donald Stalvey of Greenville. Also surviving Louise are many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
In addition to her husband and parents, Louise was preceded in death by a son, Maxcy; and three brothers: James David Rhodes, Jr., Sam Rhodes, and Charles Rhodes.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
A very special “Thank You” is given with much appreciation to each of Louise’s caregivers: Hope, Joyce, Claudette, Charlene, Tracy, and Cerita; along with all the team members of Interim Hospice Care.
