

Madeline "Phyllis" Thomisee, age 84, of Greenville, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024. She was born November 18, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Albert James McLean and Erna Lucia Herre McLean.
Phyllis graduated from Penn State University. After obtaining her degree, she worked as a history teacher prior to her marriage. Phyllis loved history, reading, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ty Thomisee; her three daughters, Catherine Love of Peachtree City, GA, Karen Thomisee-Leasure (Shannon) of Morganton, NC, and Jayne Thomisee of Washington, DC; four grandchildren, Bruce Beaty Love IV, Henry Leasure, Lydia Leasure, and Jack Leasure; and sisters, JoAnne McLean Brahler and Carol McLean Farley.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her brother, Albert James "Buddy" McLean, Jr.

There will be a private service held on September 16, 2024.
