She worked at North Greenville Fire department in the 1980s with her family. She was also a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.
Mae is survived by her brother Bo Russell, husband Wayne Flinkingshelt Sr, sons Wayne Flinkingshelt Jr and Jim Flinkingshelt. She is also survived by grandchildren Erick Barbre, Kayla Flinkingshelt, Kim Flinkingshelt, Greg Flinkingshelt, and Sarah Flinkingshelt. Lastly, she is survived by great grandchildren Bella Barbre, Joshua McCoig, Emily McCoig, Tyler McCoig, Braydon Flinkingshelt, and Dylan Flinkingshelt.
A visitation for Mae will be held Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609 with the funeral to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park immediately after the service.
