

Born in Portsmouth, VA, she was a daughter of the late David Bishop Baker and Ruby Hopkins Baker.
She attended Winthrop University. Margaret was formerly a member of Central Baptist Church, but more recently First Baptist Greenville. As a member of the Apphia Sunday School Class, she was an active participant in the life of the church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Ray Baker and Wayne Baker.
She is survived by her beloved three daughters, Peggy Paul and husband Jimmy, Jean Watts, and Joye Rose and husband David; five grandchildren, Clint Rose, Amy Paul Carr, Wes Paul, Baker Watts, and Cody Rose; and three great-grandchildren, James Walker Carr, Katherine Margaret Carr, and Benjamin David Rose.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2pm in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Greenville with Dr. Baxter M. Wynn and Dr. Stephen F. Clyborne officiating.
Visitation will immediately follow the service.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Tea Olive Cottage. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Greenville.
