Margaret Perry Smith

A native of Easley, SC, she was a daughter of the late Fletcher C. Perry and Janie W. Perry, and sister of the late Bernice P. Turner. Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Spartanburg Methodist College, devoted wife to Rev. Paul E. Smith, and beloved mother to her two sons, Perry and Paul. As a wife to a Methodist minister, they served six churches over 34 years in South Carolina. She was a homemaker devoting her life to God, her family, and friends. She gave her unconditional love and support to her family, and was always excited to share her joy in their accomplishments.

Surviving are her sons, Perry D. Smith (Robin) and Paul E. Smith, Jr. (Debbie), both of Greenville; and four granddaughters, Jennifer S. Glover, Courtney S. Moore (John), Catherine S. Schaaf (Carter), and Margaret B. Smith. Mrs. Smith was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 3:00 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Mollie Reddic with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
