I am devastated by this loss. What a beautiful obituary Papa wrote. It was beautiful to see exactly whose lives Momma touched so deeply for so long. My memories of her start with the first time I spoke to her, on the phone while shopping with Ryan on a sunny spring day in Manhattan in 2016. The following spring is the first time I met her in person at Uncle Nuckie’s house, and I was struck by how short she was and how big and bright her smile was; she had a really cool slanted smile. I noticed her high widow’s peak hairline, the exact same as Ryan. I loved all the bracelets and rings she was wearing and how fun-loving she was. She loved to joke and say endearing words of encouragement and motherly dedication. She even referred to our cat Caterpillar as “Meemaw’s Grandkitty.” I still hear her crazy feral laugh in Ryan’s laugh and see her comforting sweetness in him every day. Tracy was a second mom to me. I will miss her badly for the rest of my time here on earth.

You were my idol as a little girl. I never knew anyone that was so funny and sweet and beautiful. I’m sorry we didn’t spend enough time together but you were always my beautiful sister making jokes and being so loving. The last time we were together I tried to bake cookies for us and they were a disaster. You teased me for the rest of the night. I’ll always love you.
