Marian was born November 24, 1922 in Greer, South Carolina to Ruby Duncan Boozer and James Hertford Parks Boozer.
Marian married George Robert Wood on December 23, 1940 in Greer SC. Marian was a military wife for 19 years and six months of her and George's marriage.
Marian was a mother to three daughters and served he community as a cosmetologist.
Marian was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC. She loved her church and especially serving in the nursery.
Marian pastimes were; sewing, baking crocheting and she made the world's best pecan pie.
Marian loved her home but also, loved traveling all over the U.S.
Marian is survived by three daughters; Rebecca Green (John) of Taylors SC; Roberta Wood of Greenville SC; and Rachel Nash (Jim) of Chester SC. Marian also leaves five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband George Robert Wood; father James Hertford Parks Boozer and mother Ruby Duncan Boozer.
A visitation for Marian will be held Monday, March 2, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 2, 2020 at 11:00 AM, in the funeral home chapel. A committal service will occur Monday, March 2, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
