I knew from the moment I met Marilyn, in November, that she was an active, giving and compassionate woman, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed dearly.

Blessed are the pure in heart, For they will see God. (Matthew 5:8)

I knew Marilyn at John Knox and she was always so gracious.  I will miss her beautiful smile and personality.

Marilyn was a blessing to all she met. She was an inspiration to us all at  line dance class.I told her she was a role model for me.. I wanted to be like her when I grew up..and hope I can be the woman she was..

Marilyn was a sweet, sweet lady.  She will be very much missed at Line Dancing,  I admired her strong will and courage to keep dancing in the midst of her treatments.  

She always had a smile on her face and made everyone
feel comfortable and welcomed at line dancing classes at Senior Action.  She was a shining example of aging gracefully.  I know she is in the presence of our Lord and Savior.

My prayers are with the family.  Peace and comfort to you all.

I am sad to hear about Marilyn.  I will miss her at line dancing classes.  She was very helpful to me when I first started dancing and always encouraged me.  She loved dancing, but she also loved God, her church, and her family.  She was an inspiration to many!

I was one of Marilyn's line dance instructors and I speak for all the dancers when I say our hearts are broken.  Each of us held Marilyn in high regard.  Her deep spiritual conviction was evident in her everyday walk on earth.  She always put her church and her family first.  Her calendar was filled with Young At Heart events, choir practice, church gatherings.  She loved her family and was so proud of them and their achievements.  Nothing could prevent her from attending their graduations and major life events.  Even though her calendar was full, Marilyn still found time for line dancing.  She was always the first one to volunteer to dance at nursing homes, charity events and various dance performances.  (She made a great Elvis!)  Marilyn was the first to arrive at an event and made sure everyone had what they needed. After the events and after each class, she always helped put everything in its proper place.  Marilyn did all of these things with a smile and cheery disposition.  She made the room light up.  Her energy level was astounding and she knew the steps to hundreds of dances. If she were here today, she would tell us not to cry over her.  She would say she is sorry we are saddened and would ask what she could do to help.  She would cheer us up and help us get moving.  Today Marilyn is standing in the front row with the angels, giving them great pleasure.  We will certainly miss her, but her spirit lives on inside each one of us who knew her.  What a blessing for us!

I had the privilege of dancing with Marilyn, at Senior Action, for the past several years.  She was always delightful and an excellent line dancer.
She will be sorely missed by the entire group.
