Marion Elizabeth Jenkins Eppes passed away on September 3, 2014. Born in Greenville, SC, she was the only daughter of Andrew Hazel and Marie Hill Jenkins. She was a World War II veteran who served one year and six months as a Private First Class in the Army Air Forces Base Unit. She retired from S&H Greenstamp Store. She loved sewing, working in the yard, and refinishing furniture with her husband. Marion was a member of the Greenville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years Jim Eppes; one son, Cary Eppes of Greenville; two daughters, Kitty Bost (Johnny) and Susie Eppes (Ronnie Miller) of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren Jill Bost of Greenville, Jennifer McCarter Thompson of Woodruff, and Courtney Miller of Waipahu, HI.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Greenville, SC at 1:00 pm with Funeral service at 2:00 pm and burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements under the direction of Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Greenville, SC.
