Marion was a generous and giving person who loved the game of football. He was active in his community as a member of numerous civic groups including the Dentsville Masonic Lodge, Columbia York Rite Bodies, Jamil Temple Shriners Club, American Legion, VFW, and UTU Alumni Association.
In addition to his loving wife Julia, Marion is survived by his sons, Daniel Skipper (Blakely Bedenbaugh), Kevin Skipper (Joy), and Jason Skipper (Cathy); his grandchildren Brian and Joshua Skipper and Kyler and Jude Russ; his brothers Malcolm Skipper and Robert Skipper; and his sister Sophia Oaks.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Dave Skipper.
A funeral service will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Greenville, SC on Sunday, November 13th at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior, and a burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
