Marlene lived a life rooted in her faith and devoted to her family. A loyal member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church, she poured her heart into her church community and drew strength and joy from her walk with the Lord. She had a special gift for creating beauty with her hands — whether through crafting, sewing, or working on a new project — and she found so much joy in sharing her love of cooking with those around her. Her home was always filled with the aroma of something delicious and the comfort of her creative touch.
Marlene had a remarkable gift for crafting and a deep resourcefulness that allowed her to turn the simplest materials into something beautiful. She and her husband dedicated a special room in their home to creating together, where she spent countless hours immersed in her passion. She especially enjoyed paper crafts and rubber stamping, making all kinds of cards, stationery, and handmade treasures. Many of her creations were lovingly shared with family and friends, each one carrying a piece of her creativity and care.
Marlene is survived by her loving husband,Rodney Byers, Sr.; her son, Rodney Byers, Jr., and his wife Kristi Byers; her daughter,Heather Isaac, and her husband Tory Isaac; her sister, Linda Martin; and her brother, Robert Martin. She was a proud grandmother, and her legacy of love will live on through her grandchildren and extended family.
