Martha Welchel Greene, 82, of Simpsonville, passed away September 29, 2015. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Mamie Darnell Welchel. Martha was a 1951 graduate of Mauldin High School. She was a billing clerk for various trucking companies retiring in 2005 and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are her children, Dan (Debbie) Greene; Judi (Dan) Sherbert; Dianne Greene; Stephen Greene; and Sherri (Jon) Henrikson; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Charlie Welchel; Vivian McDaniel; and Betty Jackson. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00am at Graceland Cemetery West. The family will receive friends Friday, October 2, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at The Mackey Mortuary.
