Martha Lucille Fasnacht Sutton

She was preceded in her death by her loving husband of 57 years, John Wesley Sutton, who always lovingly called her “honey”, along with two brothers Charles Fasnacht and Jake Fasnacht of Charlotte, NC.

Martha was born in Charlotte, NC on July 17, 1920 to the late Charles U Fasnacht Sr. and Lucille Goodman Fasnacht and has resided in Greenville, SC for over 60 years.

Martha was a homemaker, a devoted wife, loving mother, Nana and Great Nana. She was a devoted member of Westminster Presbyterian church since 1953.

Martha is survived by her loving family; her daughter Margaret Jane Sutton Martin and husband Kelly P Martin Jr., Her son Charles Wesley Sutton and his wife Angie. Her granddaughters; Shannon Melisa Martin Cone and husband Travis Cone, Robin Kelli Martin Thompson and husband Tripp Thompson, Nichole Hope Sutton and Tiffany Erin Sutton Humphries and her husband William Humphries. Martha is also survived by six great grandchildren that she adored, Chandler Neal Cone, Carson Martin Cone, Matthew Wesley Justice, Bradley Evatt Justice, Chesnee Diane Humphries and Kyler McNaught-Sutton.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Greenville Glen Assisted Living of Greenville and Hospice Compassus, along with the private sitters who have been special friends to her during her declining health and for their tender loving care.

A memorial service will be held in the Remembrance Chapel of the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville, SC on May 21st, 2013 at 4:00 pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service. Arrangements by Woodlawn Memorial Funeral Home.
