Mary Lottie Maybin Evans, 87, of Travelers Rest, entered into the presence of our Lord and Saviour on December 19, 2018.
Born in Hendersonville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Etta Capps, and the wife of the late Clifford Evans. Previously the wife of the late Harold Maybin. She attended Mount Calvary Baptist Church until she became ill. She had a 35-year career at Carolina Plating and Stamping before her retirement. She enjoyed Bible study and gardening.
She is survived by her sister Doris Hall (Ralph) of Hendersonville. Her younger sister Sallie Hoover died in 2016.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Roger and Sherri Weeks. Her son, Rodney Maybin, died earlier this year on her 87th birthday. His wife Jane survives.
She is survived by three granddaughters, Shandon Davis, Sommer Tolley (Ronnie), and Sunny Sorgee. She also leaves behind great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with funeral following at 3:00 p.m. at Mackey Funerals & Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609 and burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers you may please just spend time in fervent prayer for our family. There are some who do not know the Lord as Savior and I would covet your prayers for them.

To my sweet mom, you have been the dearest friend in the world to me. I praise God for making you my mom. God has blessed me with the sweetest mother in the world. I only pray that I can be half the godly example you have been.
This world is a better place because you have been here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. There is a hole in my heart that will never be filled now!! I love you for all eternity Mom.💔
