Mary Riley Friddle

Mary Riley Friddle, daughter of the late Elmer Grady Riley and Mattie Strom Riley, passed away on May 5, 2025. She worked for Union Carbide in Simpsonville, South Carolina before retirement. Mary was an active member of Salem United Methodist Church, where she served as church historian and on the administrative board, and was a member of the Frances Vaughn Sunday School Class and Young at Heart.

Mary is survived by one daughter, Diane F. Davenport (Wayne), five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John Henry Friddle; son, Jerry Riley Friddle, daughter, Shelby F. Williams, and brothers, James Carlisle Riley and Oscar Lamar Riley.

A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at Salem United Methodist Church, 2700 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611.

A funeral service will occur Friday, May 9, 2025 from 1:30 PM, 2700 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611.

A committal service will occur Friday, May 9, 2025 from 3:00 PM at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673.
