Mary Stone Gravely, 91, of Greer, wife of the late Alvin Luther Gravely, died Friday, February 14, 2020. She was happily married to Alvin for 63 years and known in the community for a giving spirit, love of all people, and sharing the joy of knowing Christ as her Savior.
Born in Marietta, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Jackson and Ruby Lea Coke Stone.
Mary was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church for 49 years and worked as an office manager at Modern Office Machines and Ikon. She also served part-time as the secretary at the church after her retirement.
Surviving is her daughter Cindy Stephens and her husband Warren of Simpsonville; granddaughter Heather Banks and her husband Jeremy of Simpsonville; and one great-granddaughter Sophia.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at 2 pm at Taylors First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the gathering space.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to Open Arms hospice. The family is so thankful for this wonderful group of people who ministered to and provided care for Mary at her home in her final days.
