Mary Lou Slatton Jordan

Mary Lou Slatton Jordan of Greenville SC passed away on January 8, 2018. She was the widow of William D. Jordan (Bill) and was born May 17, 1924 in Greenville SC to the late Harrison and Lelia Smith Slatton.

Mrs. Jordan was a member of West Gantt First Baptist Church, where she taught 4-year-old Sunday School for many years. She retired from Steel Heddle Mfg. Co. and after retirement worked part-time at the Cleveland Street Y.M.C.A.

Surviving by one daughter Cindy Wells (husband Lavern Wells predeceased Mrs. Jordan) of Murrells Inlet SC; grandson Jonathan Wells of Murrells Inlet SC; granddaughter Teresa Huff (Mark) of Gaffney SC; great granddaughter MaryAnn Moss (Dalton) of Gaffney SC; brother Carl Slatton of Travelers Rest SC; and sister Hattie Bryant of the Blue Ridge Community.

Predeceasing Mrs. Jordan are two brothers, Ralf Slatton of Tigerville SC and James Slatton of El Segundo, California.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Jordan will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 3:00pm in the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 2:30-3:00pm. Burial will follow service in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
