Michael Daniel Burton

Michael attended Wade Hampton High School and was a graduate of Benedict College with a degree in Political Science. He was very instrumental in helping kids achieve their educational goals. He created the Burton Foundation and he was founder and CEO of LatchKey, Inc. of Greenville SC. He also received the MLK, Jr. Citzenship Award give by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.

Michael is survived by his loving mother, Ms. Rebeca Burton, his two beautiful daughters, Autumn Burton and Brookelyn Mitchell and two grandsons. Also surviving are his companion, Ms. Tonya Stevens and her children, Rashaundra and Rashaad, his sisters Mrs. Michelle Johnson (Milton), Ms. Haviland, Ms. Yolanda and Ms. Neka and one brother, Mr. Sammy (Sonjayn). Also, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends are left to cherish Michael's memory.

A visitation for Michael will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM.
