Michael graduated from Hillcrest High School. Afterwards, he proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He earned an accounting degree from Carson-Newman University, Jefferson City, TN.
He is survived by his loving family, one sister Sandra Tizzano Kerr and husband , Henry of Mt Pleasant, SC; three nieces: Mary Frances (Pat) Coryell, Elizabeth Kerr (Chris) Wilhoit and Sandra Michael (James) Stoughton; eight great-grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at Mackey Mortuary, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens, Greenville, SC
