Ned W. Mowen, Jr., 95, widower of Mary Earline Mowen, died September 5, 2014.
Born in Beaver Falls, PA, he was a son of the late Ned W. and Amanda Dawson Mowen.
Mr. Mowen served in the US Army, 13th Airborne Division, during World War II. He retired as manager of the Men's Department of Belk after 21 years of service. He was a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Gail Mowen of Greenville; a brother, Wilbur Mowen of Kansas City, KS; a sister, Sally Sue Mowen of New Brighton, PA; two grandchildren, Jason (Dawn) and Brett; and three great-grandchildren, London, Jadon and Ireland Mowen.
He was predeceased by a brother, Dr. William Mowen, and a sister, Phyllis Boland.
Services will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Reedy Fork Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Whaley officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the church.
