

Nina was born in Monroe, North Carolina on November 15, 1945, where she resided until moving to Greenville, South Carolina in 1969. She was the daughter of the late Sanford and Ivah Lee Benton. She was the sister of the late Jessie Benton (Myra), Jenny Braswell (Jack), Virgil Benton (Jean), and Colon Baucom (Jack). She is survived by her brothers Bruce Benton (Gail), Vance Benton, and sister Polly (George) Love, and many beloved niece and nephews.
Nina was retired from White Oak Baptist Daycare where she was the Preschool Director for 34 years. She was the Preschool Sunday School Director for 25 years, and church clerk for five years. She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church since 1969.
Nina was the loving, devoted wife of Richard Campbell for 62 years and the loving mother to two daughters, Debbie Brothers (Billy) and Leah Dillard (Hal), and two sons, Ric Campbell, and Keith (Kristen) Campbell. She was the loving grandmother to eleven grandchildren: BJ Brothers (Jenny); Stacie Snider (Craig); Logan Evans (Alex); Hayden Dillard (Marissa); Heath Dillard (Georgia); Dixon Campbell; Davis Campbell; Ava Campbell; Chase Campbell; Olivia Campbell; and Miles Campbell; as well as six great-grandchildren, Sydney, JD, Elsie, Clara, Hannah and Grant.
Services will be held at White Oak Baptist Church, 1805 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609, on June 26, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:30 am to 11:45 am followed by the funeral at 12:00 pm. Burial will be private.
