Oleta "Dena" Brashier

Oleta “Dena” Smith Brashier, lost her 3 year battle with cancer and entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, May 8th 2013, at the McCall Hospice House. She had a great love for motorcycles and enjoyed being in the mountains. She dearly loved her cats and dogs. She was a former member of ABATE where she enjoyed charity work. Dena was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. She was a devoted wife for 25 years to her husband, Fred “Eddie” Brashier. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by Eddie, her Mother-in-Law Fran Brashier whom she referred to as Mom, and the entire Brashier family. The family will be at the home of Sherri Akridge @ 3633 West Georgia Rd Pelzer SC 29669.

The family will receive friends Tuesday May 14th, at Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel from 11:00am-12:00pm with a memorial service following at 12:00pm. It was her desire to have her physical remains casted back to the Earth in the Smokey Mountain. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The McCalls Hospice House @ 1836 West Georgia Road Simpsonville, SC 29680. The family would like to extend a special thanks and gratitude to the staff and volunteers for their loving care during Dena’s stay.
