Pauline attended North Greenville College and graduated Carson Newman University with a degree in Christian Education.
She worked as a bank teller in Greenville, doing church work in Pelzer, for the Payroll Department of Newport News Shipyard and Director of the Girls Club of Norfolk Virginia. Pauline served the children and families of Hollis Elementary as a social worker for 27 years.
Pauline is survived by daughter Lynn Barnett Head, son-in-law Doug Head and son Marshall Wayne Barnett, grandchildren Amy Lamia (Joe), and Rachel Waslicki (David), and great grandsons Joey and Lucas Lamia. She was predeceased by her adoring husband Wayne (Shag) Barnett to whom she was married for 63 years, her parents Mary Lou and Homer Neely, and a brother, Tommy Neely also of Pelzer.
Special helpers and friends the family is very grateful for are Ruby Dornbos and Evelyn Watson and Janice Rivera.
Pauline was a faithful member of OBC for over 50 years where served as Seekers Sunday School Class teacher. She spent her life pouring out into the lives of others and she fiercely loved her family and her church and her Lord.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Overbrook Baptist Church, Greenville, SC.
