Pauline “Polly”Elizabeth Knight Hucker, 87, of Taylors, SC passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Rolling Green Village. She was born in Shelby, NC. Polly received a BA from Southern Wesleyan University, a Masters from LaVerne University and did advanced Graduate Studies at Furman University. In 1981 she received the SC Teacher of the Year award. She was a predeceased by her first husband James W. “Buddy” Knight. Surviving are her husband Pat Hucker, mother Elsie Dora Allen; a daughter Linda K. Russo (Thomas) and a son Jimmy Knight (Pat); four grandchildren Joey Holcombe, Jennifer Nance, Shannon Ireland, Brent Knight; and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014 in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with visitation prior to the service from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
