

Peggy Marie Robbins, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend parted this life Monday, February 6, 2012. Born in Blacksburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Warren and Louise Elizabeth Moss. She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Don Keith Robbins. In addition to her husband she is survived by her son, Dr. Don Keith Robbins Jr. and wife Christine of Rock Hill, SC, daughter Donna Robbins Childress and husband Houston of Greenville, SC, daughter Dr. Tina Lynn Robbins and husband Ben (Coke) Jeffords of Pendleton, SC and grandchildren, Emily Marie Childress-Campbell (Colin Adams), of Knightdale, NC, Nolan and Travis Robbins of Rock Hill, SC, Katherine Jeffords of Lexington, SC and Elizabeth Jeffords-Smith (Lee) of Simpsonville, SC. Also a best friend of 50 years, Shirley Kline of Greenville, SC and loving caregiver Marie Day of Inman, SC.She is survived by five sisters, Bea Stauber of Bristol, VA, Sara (George) Johnson of York, SC, Marlene (Bob) Earles of Blacksburg, SC, Sue (Paul) Patton of Matthews, NC, Gayle (Dermont) Beam of Gastonia, NC, and four brothers Edward (Orline) Moss, George (Sandra) Moss, James (Peggy) Moss, all of Blacksburg, SC, and Jerry (Iris) Moss of Charlotte, NC.She was predeceased by two sisters, Modra Bedford and Margaret Patterson and one brother Winfred Moss.
Peggy was an active member of the St. James Episcopal Church. She was retired from Hoechst Celanese, where she worked many years in Human Resources. A visitation with the family will be held Wednesday at Woodlawn Memorial from 4-6. A private committal will be held Thursday morning and a celebration of life memorial service will be held Thursday at 2:30 at St. James Episcopal Church, 301 Piney Mountain Rd, Greenville, SC 29609. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Moss Scholarship Fund, c/o Hopewell Baptist Church, 511 Old Chester Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702 or York Place, The Episcopal Church Home for Children, 234 Kings Mountain St. York, SC 29745.
