Percival Cabell Gregory III

Percival Cabell Gregory III, husband of Pauline Winslow Gregory, died January 14, 2025.

Born in Greenville, SC on June 18, 1936, he was the son of the late Harriet Cogswell Gregory and Percival Cabell Gregory Jr. He was a graduate of Greenville High School and The Georgia Institute of Technology.

Mr. Gregory spent his entire career with Daniel International Corporation and Fluor Daniel. He served as President of several Daniel and Fluor Daniel subsidiaries and retired from American Equipment Company.

Mr. Gregory was a communicant of Christ Church, Episcopal where he served on the Vestry, and as Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee. He was a member and past-President of the Greenville Kiwanis Club and served on the boards of the Cleveland Street YMCA, Camp Greenville, the Carolina Blood Center, and Walker, Evans & Cogswell, Charleston, SC. He was also a Trustee Emeritus and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Faith Memorial Chapel in Cedar Mountain, NC.

He is survived by his wife Pauline Winslow Gregory, daughter Pauline (Polly) Gregory Sapitowicz (Tom), granddaughter Jennifer Sapitowicz McGlynn (Sean), grandsons Gregory Thomas Sapitowicz (Amber) and Maxwell Holden Gregory (Bre Baldwin) as well as great-grandchildren Sean Lawrence McGlynn Jr., Amelia (Milly) Grace Sapitowicz, Bridget Pauline McGlynn and Gerald Thomas Theodore (Teddy) Sapitowicz. He was predeceased by his son Percival Cabell Gregory IV and his brother Francis Cogswell Gregory.

Services will be held at Christ Church on Thursday January 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with interment in the church cemetery. Following the service there will be a reception in the All Saints Center.
