To the Chamblee family,

We were sorry to hear of Ralph's passing away. We thought a lot of Ralph, and am grateful for our time knowing him. And we thank him for keeping us tied into the happenings of other friends of the Crawford era. Our prayers are with each of you.

He assisted me during this time and i enjoyed seeing him when he was in Charlotte, during meetings in Atlanta and other locations.  He was always quick witted. Martha, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  I love you and I loved Ralph.  He was an inspiration to me in to me in my personal life as well as my professional. He and my husband, Mike, love the same kind of music. They were always sending tapes and CD's back and force to each other.  I appreciate you both. The service today was awesome. He would have been happy.

I was blessed to have had the opportunity to meet you and your family at the hospital recently through a cousin of mine and very good friend of yours.  I feel very fortunate to have met you and your family and I would like to extend my sincerest sympathy for your loss. I regret I was unable to attend the services but know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May God comfort you and give you peace.

Mr. Ralph was a special friend to me. He always loved sharing his tomatoes and special information that helped them to grow or not to grow. He was a jewel of a man. Ralph was always the perfect gentleman. He was a member of the Romeo's group (Retired Old Men Eating Out) that we frequently met in Charlie's BBQ where they gathered once every week. Ralph also played tennis with my brother in law, Darrell Kelly. We attended church at BSUMC, but attended different services. Last met Ralph and Martha at the ice cream shop at Dillard's. He was taking 4 bushels of corn or something up to relatives in the mountains. We will both miss his wit and humor.  Chuck & Nancy Tanner

Martha and Family - Paula and I were so very sorry to hear about Ralph. Our sincerest sympathy to you all during this time. We worked together for many years at Crawford & Company. Always a gentlemen, always a mentor, always a friend. We will miss him.

Dear Martha and family: Our most sincere and heartfelt condolences.He will be missed!

Although I moved from Greenville in 1974, I shall always remember Ralph with great fondness. We were members together in the Greenville Claims Association, and even though I never worked directly with him, I came to know him well and respected him greatly.
