He was graduate of Beverly High School, class of 1950. Richie joined the Navy in 1956 and was very proud to have served in the Seabees.
He enjoyed woodworking and singing. He was a member of The Northshoremen Barbershop Chorus, Beverly, MA., and the American Legion-Post 194, Hamilton, MA. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing horseshoes, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife Jeannette of 64 years; son, Steven Gobeille and his wife Pamela of Greenville, SC; daughter, Susan Connaughton and her husband, Harry of Melbourne, FL; brother, William Gobeille and his wife, Bonnie of Wenham, MA; sisters: Rosemary Gongas and Sally Pietrini and her husband William of Beverly, MA.; sister in law, Frances Gobeille of Beverly, MA.; four grandchildren: Chloe Gobeille of Greenville, SC, Nicholas Serino of Boxford, MA, Stepahnie Serino of Beverly, MA and Melanie Serino of Boston, MA. He was preceded in death by his brother John and his grandson Casey Gobeille.
