

Richard Arnold Holt, 73, husband of Rosemary for 52 years died on June 29, 2014. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and is the son of the late Arnold and Helen Holt. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Civil Engineering, and was a retired structural engineer from Fluor, and was previously with JE Sirrine. Richard was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church where he was active in Men’s Ministry, was a deacon and a Sunday school leader, and had a heart for mentoring younger men. He was a man of integrity who loved God’s word, and worked to distribute it widely as a member of the Gideons International. Richard lived to honor God in everything. He cherished his family and was devoted to his wife, Rosemary. Surviving in addition to his wife, are sons Timothy Scott and his wife Cathey; Jeffery Jon and his wife Sherrie; his twin sister Sally Ann Holt and seven grandchildren: Scott, Gressette, Andria, Sera Carolyn, Emily, Jonathan and Daniel. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 4:00pm at Taylors First Baptist Church with visitation from 1:30 – 3:30pm in the “Welcome Center” of the church. Memorials may be made to Gideon’s International.
