I wanted to let the family  know how sorry I am for your loss.
Rob was a cousin that I haven't seen in many years. I do have fond memories of him growing up when our family would travel  to South Carolina from California for vacations.
My prayers are with you all through this difficult time.

It is with a sad heart to have learned of Rob's passing. Rob was a great friend and someone who was easy to talk to. It is a comfort to know that Rob is now resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior.  Crela when he met you, he was a different man.  He thought the world of you and loved you so much.  You and the rest of his family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Due to being high risk, my husband and I were unable to attend the funeral.
May God give you comfort in the days ahead.

Rob was such a nice and kind man.  I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Rob for 40 years. He was a pleasure to be around and work with. He will be missed.

Rob was my first inside sales teammate when I joined Dodge as an outside sales person 7 years ago.  I had the privilege of working with Rob for 5 fun years.  Rob would include me in on a calls to other Dodge teammates when looking for answers. It was so fun to have that person, whether they were in marketing or a plant location,  warmly welcome Rob and they'd have a short conversation catching up on each other's family and friends before they got to the matter at hand.  He was truly loved and respected by all. 
 

I am just heartbroken that Rob is no longer with us.  My thoughts and heartfelt sympathy are with you and your family during your time of sorrow.  May your faith sustain all of you and bring you strength and peace.

Words cannot begin to express my sadness after hearing of Rob's passing. Rob,  was one of the sweetest and most genuine people I have had  the privilege  of working with at ABB/Dodge for the past  38 years, he was an inspiration to all, and  will be missed beyond measure, Rob was and had always been our constant in Inside  Sales and always  willing to share his wealth of knowledge.   I will miss him always saying “Well, Hello Carol Q to P" every time we saw each other.

Even thou our hearts are heavy we know Rob's faith was strong and may you and your family find peace and comfort in knowing that Rob is resting in the arms of our Lord. Lean on the Lord during this most difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you today and in the days to come.

No words can express how sad it was when Rob passed away.  I have been a co-worker and friend of Rob’s for almost 40 years.  He was such a kind, loving and funny man.  Crela, he was so happy when he met you.  He loved you so much and knew you were meant for each other.  My condolences to all of Rob’s family.  May you find peace by knowing he is in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

Reading through all of the memories and messages is a testament to all of the lives that have been influenced by Rob.  He was a friend to many! I dont think Rob could even separate his work life and personal life because both were intertwined. He will be missed greatly but has left a lasting legacy that won't be forgotten. It's was our great privilege to be one of many of Rob's friends and coworkers.  We would talk about politics and what Rush was discussing on the radio that day. We took Rob with us to the Tea Party march in DC in 2009. That is something we will never forget. To the Family we hope you find comfort and know how well Rob is loved. Rob was the only person to call me Lester.









I am so sorry and my heartfelt condolences to Rob’s family.  I first met Rob in the 80s and got to know him well in the 90s.  I  had many good times with Rob over the years and he taught me a lot about people.  He was a great coworker and his customers out here in Kansas loved him.  He introduced me to pimento cheese sandwiches while fishing with his Uncle George in South Carolina.  He also taught me the proper way to make sweet tea.  We didn’t catch many fish in South Carolina but did on one trip we took together fishing with his cousin Chip down in Apalachicola, Florida.   We had some great trips across Kansas and many laughs.  I will miss him, his voice and the way he could give me a hard time.  I always knew he cared about people and it showed.

You just never knew what topic he, Jerry and Kevin might be discussing or debating, always entertaining!  I never passed Rob in the hall without a funny comment or a smile.  He will be missed by all.

Crela, I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Rob's death. I can not imagine the emotions that you are feeling. We have both suffered the loss of a parent, or in your case parents, but this is so different. We both waited for years to find our soul mates and for Rob to be gone this soon is unbelievable. I have both empathy and sympathy for you and your family. From reading all the posts from coworkers, friend and neighbors, I have a better understanding of the wonderful man you married. Just like a lot of people, I had the pleasure to meet and work with Rob at Dodge. He selflessly and unknowingly made me successful as a young Sales Engineer. Just like so many before and after me, Rob taught  me so many things and answered all my questions. Rob had such a big heart.

My condolences to the family.

Rob McElrath was one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. I met him at Dodge. I struggled initially. There were a few people who took me under their wing & Rob was one of them. We broke bread together. He came to my home. We smoked cigars & went to "rasslin" events. I never forget going to RAW with him. I'll miss my buddy. He's with God now & I know he'll be okay.

When I joined Dodge in 1995, Rob was one of the first colleagues that I met, and at that moment I knew I had joined a family and not just a company.  For the 13 years that I called Greenville home and the subsequent 12 years since moving, there has always been a constant when in the building... Rob and his welcomed humor. No discussion, whether long or short, or even if I was on the other side of the Inside Sales Department, I always received the same 'close' to the encounter from Rob, "I'm glad you got to see me." He was right. I was always glad to get to see him. 

My deepest condolences to the McElrath family. 

Crela, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the children. I am truly sorry for your loss and if there is anything that I can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask. Rob was liked and loved by us all here at ABB Motors and Mechanical, Inc. He and I have seen a lot of transitions take place throughout the many years; his 40 years and my 43 years with the company. Whenever he would walk past my receptionist area, he would always say to me, "Say good night Rob" and I would look up at him and just smile and say "Good night Rob".

Rob was always willing to lend a hand at work when I was new which goes to show his caring disposition and willingness to help.  It says tremendous things about his character this his passing is felt so deeply by all of his friends here at work, myself included. 

 Every time someone wears a Hawaiian shirt now, I will think of Rob and smile reminiscing on his humor.  I wish you and your family the best in the days ahead and I hope knowing that all of us will miss him dearly brings some form comfort.

Rob will be greatly missed at Dodge. His jokes were contagious and his good mood spread to everyone at all hours of the day. His insight into customer needs has been so pivotal for our engineering team. Our entire engineering team is keeping the entire McElrath family in our thoughts and prayers.

Words can't express how sorry I am for your loss.  I know Rob was loved very much and will be greatly missed.

Rob was one my first inside person when I got to Dodge.  He was very highly respected and liked by all of our customers.  He helped me a lot especially with the computer system when I was hired.  He will be missed for a multitude of reason.  It was really nice to get to meet and work with Rob.

As a co-worker and part of Rob's Dodge family  I can tell you we have never suffered a bigger loss than losing Rob.  As a friend, I can tell you I am heartbroken.  Rob brought a good laugh on a hard day and was a fixture of the Dodge Inside Sales team.  His experience and loyalty were beyond words.  I will have fond memories of snow days where the building was empty, except us diehards, and Rob was my personal engineering team spewing out parts and data like it was etched in his heart.  His warm hug and humorous vocabulary kept me laughing through tears many days, and his memory will for many days to come. 
 May the Lord bring you peace and comfort in this time and the days ahead.

I met Rob in 1994 when I began work at Dodge he was the salt of the earth and made me laugh when ever we met in the halls. Loved our conversations. He will be missed and all I can say is heaven shines a bit brighter today with his presence. He will forever be in our memories.

Crela, On one of the last times that I spoke to Rob before I started working from home, he told me that he loved being married to you and that even if you guys were disagreeing about something that he remembered how luck he was to have someone to share life with and someone to help overcome the loneliness that he had felt before you.  In the trials of everyday life sometimes we forget the good things.  Remember that you were one of the good things that happened to Rob. 

My sincere condolences for your family during this difficult and heartbreaking time.  I wish for you sustained memories of Rob that will give you comfort in the challenging times ahead.  Please know that Rob was esteemed by all here at Dodge.  He served the Plains Region in years past and always brought his best to his work. I met Rob in 1994 when I arrived at our company. I was assigned to the same Team in Customer Service and was the beneficiary of Rob's vast knowledge and advice. Over many years, Rob & I shared a sincere friendship, one that not only revolved around good times, but also the bad. Be it career & life changes, hospital waiting rooms, or, yes, funerals, Rob was there. Rob had a true concern for others, especially over their knowledge of Christ. 

Rob loved and was proud of you all. We will miss Rob in the remainder of our lives, but I rest assured that we will meet him again.

May our Lord keep and bless you all.

Rob came into my life when we (I was one of three) hired him while our start up of our centralized CS operations took place back in 1980.   All 3 of us saw some great potential in Rob as his personality just sprung out.   As Mgr of Customer Service for many years, I watched Rob grow into one of our best reps.  Both customers and our field sales personnel that he dealt with loves to deal with him.   Upon my retirement in 2003, I lost contact with Rob on a person to person basis but did follow him on Facebook.   He was uninhibited in many ways, and that just made him a better person.   I’m so sorry of his passing and send many prayers to all his family and friends.  RIP Rob!  We’ll all miss you.

I have had the privilege of knowing Rob and working with him for nearly 23 years.  He helped me when I was beginning to work at Dodge.  He was a good co-worker. But more importantly, Rob was a true friend. My heart goes out to all of his family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I started working at Dodge back in June 2007 in the Greenville office as a sales trainee.  Rob was one of the first people I met, and had the opportunity to spend a few weeks alongside him while learning about inside sales and Dodge products in general.  Rob had great rapport with his colleagues and customers, many who considered him a friend.  I hit it off well with Rob, and he always had time to chat it up whenever I would stop by his desk.  When I got my territory assignment about a year later in Iowa, I was excited to find out that Rob was my go-to inside sales rep back in Greenville!  I will miss Rob, as will all of his Dodge family.  My condolences to Crela, Lesley, Brad, and all of Rob’s family; in this difficult time, may you find peace and comfort in all of the great memories you share of Rob,

My baby brother, though only a year younger than I, may you now walk with God. For us, I pray for comfort that only God can give us still here. May he also provide pervading peace for our minds and hearts. May he especially comfort Crela, Leslie, Brad, Blythe, and Yaunder. 

We had the privilege to know Rob as a good friend.  The memories and life experiences we shared will be treasured forever.  Anyone who knew Rob well will agree that he had a true interest in people and their stories.  His steady commitment to the Lord was evident in the decisions of life.  And we would say
