Robert Poland

Bob received his BS from Central Michigan University in 1964, where he also was the president of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. In 1970 he received his Master’s degree from Michigan State University. He loved to travel and he visited many countries. He also lived in Tokyo, Japan for a brief period. He eventually ended up in Greenville, SC and practiced audiology for over 40 years before retiring from Foothills ENT.

Bob was a member at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church and was also very active in the choir. He enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, socializing, the arts, and spending time with his grandkids and his dog, Ralphie.

He is survived by two sons, Jason Poland (Stephanie) and Chris Poland; two grandsons, Briggs Poland and Hayes Poland; and his brother, Albert Poland.

A memorial service will be held at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 11:00 am at 200 Buncombe Street, Greenville, SC 29601. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
