He graduated from Grand Haven High School and served his country in the Navy. He retired from Sealed Power.
Robert is survived by daughter Cindy Lea Ruiter (Carl) and Darlene Ann Ordway; son, Robert Lee Ruiter, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann Hardenburgh Ruiter.
According to Robert's wishes, there will be no services at this time.
