Sally Margaret Davis

Sally Margaret Davis, 93, a resident of The Gardens at Eastside, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2017. She was born in Wilmington, NC, to the late Stephen Johnston and Sallie Gertrude Carroll Johnston.

She is survived by daughter, Margaret Weaver (Nelson) of Summerville, SC; son, Ted Davis (Debby) of Lyman, SC; daughter, Fran Sembert (George) of Greensboro, NC; son, Tim Davis (Sharon) of Greer, SC; ten grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Heide Davis, Jr. and son, Aaron Heide Davis, III.

She graduated from East Carolina Teachers College with a degree in piano and voice and was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Mackey Mortuary Chapel, burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to service at 1:30 pm.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff and caregivers at The Gardens at Eastside, Griswold Homecare, Dr. Raana Naidu, and Eva J. Walker for their loving care of our mother.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to a charity of one’s choice.
